A skilled studio session drummer, I was engaged to supply a variety of styles and developed the ability to adapt and come up with creative solutions in a time sensitive manner. I supplied composed arrangements and improvised rhythms to suit the needs of my producer. I have supplied drum tracks for Judge Dredd (Paul Leonard Morgan), G&R Management (Texas, Primal Scream, Gun) Worked for Sony Music (artist development and demoing) and have delivered a number of bespoke drum recording sessions, drum programming and sound design projects.
Musicianship…
I am a firm believer that no matter what type of music you like most you can always take something new from it, this is also true for the majority of the music that you don’t like. To do this it is important that you know what you do and don’t like, are prepared for that to change, that you know what to listen for and that you develop a concept of what a piece of music means to the person who created it. The next step is to figure out how to create music in a way that satisfies you and also be open to generating ideas and concepts that don’t sit comfortably in your perceived idea of what is “good”

I was also involved with organising some outreach programs funded by Creative Scotland at Glasgow Music Studios teaching drums and music skills to disadvantaged kids and young adults. Masterclasses in and around Glasgow including drum circles, professional drum kit techniques and guest drum demonstrations for Drum Central and Rhythm Base.
